Welcome to this post.
I am sure that most of us blind user ore any user would know about linux. If you do not know, it is a curnel that is very light wait, and open-source.
Lots of users choose linux over many operating systems, like windows and macos, mainly because you have alot of custermisation over your computer.
I have used sum linux distros, sum well-known, how ever sum not realy not known.
Sum of them are, Linux mint, a greate operating system, if you are comig from windows, it is a good option, especialy for blind users.
It is quite easy to setup, but note that it uses ubuntu.
If you are fine with ubuntu, then you should be good.
It uses lts support, but it is roling releas.
Debian, one of the most well-known distros in linux history.
This is mainly used for servers and websites, but users still use it, mainly because it is light-weight.
Note, debian can be complicated, especialy if you do not want to use command line.
Those are sum of the linux distros i have been using, and to be honest, i have had a greate experince.
Leav yur experience in the comments.
I will be happy to assist in any question that i can.

What about Accessible Coconut, have you ever tried it? I have played with it a little bit in a Virtual Machine. Yesterday I decided to try UTM on the Mac. I got Accessible Coconut to load in UTM but there was no sound. One of my other friends had the same issue. There is also a Linux distro called Zorin OS, visually it is supposed to look like Windows.
